The Granby Newcomers and Neighbors Club was established in 1970 for the purpose of welcoming new people to the community in a warm and friendly manner. Since that time, the group has expanded to include established as well as new women of Granby and the surrounding area. We encourage women to continue on participating in our club for as long as they'd like. It's not just for the new! Come check out one of our monthly meetings and see all that GNNC has to offer!
General membership meetings are usually held the second Thursday of each
month during the school year (the club is off in June, July and
August). Our monthly general meetings are a great time to catch up with friends and meet new people. After a short business meeting we have a program and refreshments.
Membership dues are $25 annually. Anyone interested in
joining the Club may attend two meetings to become informed about
the club without being charged dues; however, dues must be paid
for continued participation after those two meetings. Join anytime
of the year (dues are pro-rated to reflect your join date).
Besides our general meetings there are many special interest groups that we offer. These groups typically meet each month at member homes. Members can start a new group at any time. There are planned activities for children and their families such as playgroups and parties!
Granby Newcomers is a social organization for women that is heavily
dependent upon its members for success. The more effort members
put into the Club, the more benefits everyone can reap from it.
The Club is non-profit and annually donates proceeds from its fundraisers
to various Granby organizations. Please join us for lots of fun
its a great way to meet others in the community! |
