Look where we have been....

2010 Mystery Bus Trip - May 8th

We went to Tom and Sally's Chocolate factory in Brattleboro Vermont, followed by lunch at Simon Pearce (glassblowers and potters) at Quechee. Then a walk and puttering around the town of Woodstock, VT. A good day out in spite of the rain as we were indoors or traveling most of the time and the sun came out for our walk around Woodstock.

2009 Mystery Bus Trip - May 9th

The bus went to the Hartford Jr. women’s league decorator show house in Hartford – each room is decorated by a designer – it was beautiful. Then on to Waters Edge Resort and Spa in Westbrook for lunch, socializing, and a short massage. Then on to Clinton crossing for shopping.

These Clubs have been Newcomers favorites for years but do not have leaders for this year. Please contact the club president to restart any of these groups.

Book Club
Interested members gather monthly off-site (at members’ homes on a rotating basis) to discuss an agreed-upon book. Titles are announced at the general meetings and in the monthly newsletter. The book is not all we discuss... come join us for some food and great conversation!

Gourmet Club
Do you like to cook? Do you like to try new foods? Do you and your husband need a night out? Then, Gourmet is right for you! Gourmet will give you a chance to meet new people and enjoy great food. Groups of 6-10 people (typically couples) meet at an assigned member's home for a variety of dinners throughout the season. The season runs from October through June. Members each prepare a different course of the meal and then come together and enjoy. All costs are shared equally among the participants. For those of you who wish to be full-time members, (attending 5 or more dinners), the fee will be $15 for the year. For those of you who wish to be part-time members, (attending 4 or less dinners), the fee will be $7.50 for the year. These fees cover beverages, paper goods, and mailing costs.
