September 2006- Club Social

It’s time to get reacquainted and welcome new members as we host our first meeting of the 2006-2007 season.  Come socialize, meet the board members and enjoy some music and delicious desserts.  You’ll have a chance to win a prize with our “icebreaker” game and hear about what we have planned for the upcoming year.  Don’t miss the kick off to what will be another successful year of Granby Newcomers and Neighbors.

October - Women's Winter Health

As the year gears up and Fall is upon us, we often find ourselves so busy that we don't take time to take care of ourselves. Now is the time to really focus on what keeps us healthy so that we can continue to meet the demands of our busy lives.
Join us for an evening with Joan Palmer, a Nutritional Consultant and the Coordinator of The Granby Food Coop. Joan will help us to understand which foods will help our bodies stay healthy through the winter months ahead. She will also talk about the plants nature provides this time of year that are essential to our health. Learn about the foods that will help boost our immune system and the foods and behaviours that suppress it. Learn to use diet, lifestyle and herbs to keep you and your family healthier this winter. Joan will provide demonstrations and share recipes. It is an evening not to miss.

Shop from a selection of beautiful cups, tea pots, tea accessories and a fabulous selection of gift items including candles, soaps and bath salts, and beautiful jewelry, supplied by our local community artists. Sit and browse the spiritual, herbal and plant based book selection.
